About Me

I suppose it all started when I traded in my suburban home in Detroit, Michigan for a tiny bunk in one of Stanford’s cinder block dormitories.  Beside myself at the opportunities now presented, I settled into university life in the heart of Silicon Valley – a place where big ideas and a culture of unabashed optimism were driving a new economy.  Four years later, a recipient of the Anna Laura Myers Prize for outstanding research and a newly minted Net-Geek, I graduated Stanford and started my first company.

Several startups later, I am currently the Founder and CEO of 3VR , a company that provides searchable surveillance and privacy solutions to the financial, retail and government sectors.  3VR combines breakthroughs in video search, video analysis, and video management in the industry’s first intelligent video management system.  The company’s products have been deployed at some of the world’s largest banking, retail, and government institutions to reduce costs, fight crime, and protect privacy in ways that conventional systems simply can’t.

I am also a proud Board Member of the Climb High Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping women in remote developing nations, and am an active speaker and writer on the intersection of security, privacy and technology.
